Rhodes Twenty10 – Wow!

Best steakhouse experience ever

As we are Marriott Bonvoy members, we get benefits when we dine at any participating restaurant, bar, or club anywhere in the world. After a week with Chinese, sushi and other Asian food, we wanted another taste and looked for a steak restaurant near our hotel at Jumeirah Beach, with Bonvoy benefits. After searching the internet we found a restaurant that looked quite nice. So we booked and had great expectations.

The restaurant is headed up by multi Michelin Award Winning celebrity Chef, Gary Rhodes.

Rhodes Twenty10 at Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort and Spa is the perfect place for unique fine dining.

We were already blown away from the huge, elegant main lobby when we entered the hotel. The high ceiling, white, clean and modern design gives the hotel a classy feeling. Walking towards the restaurant we realized that the hotel is all over beautiful. The spacious hallway gave us almost a magical feeling. Entering the restaurant we could feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The clean lines of white tablecloth and cream colored chairs, against the dark walls, with dark purple candlelight holders, gave us that instant luxury feeling, that I really love when I go to a nice restaurant. The waiter were attentive and made us feel very special from the moment we walked in. The chairs were very soft and comfortable. I loved the ambience; chandelliers made the location warm and cozy and the classic music were the perfect touch. Even my girls loved this place.

The food was incredible. Fresh made bread came as standard. After ordering we were served chevy amousebouche, an interesting little appetizer. Afraid of being stuffed we skipped the starter and went straight to ordering the main course. 120 +day grain fed USDA Sirloin – probably the best steak I’ve ever had. It just melted in our mouths. As sideorder we had Buttered Sea Salt New Potatoes and Mixed Vegetables, Sautéed Mushrooms With Onions and Mushroom Cream Sauce. I can feel the taste in my mouth just thinking about this dinner! Everything were well presented and tastefull! The waiter was helpful, with good suggestions for food and drinks. Prices were normal, the 340g Sirloin cost 245 AED (75 USD). Ok so I’m used to Dubai prices – the steak was almost double price of what I’m used to home In Norway, but this one was totally worth it (I say that everytime by the way).The kidsmeny had a mixed variety of dishes. Pasta never goes wrong as they are picky,and my girls took the Spaghetti Carbonara with Chips as side dish.

While waiting for the dessert, the waiter gave us a
plate with petit fours. It was like «little drops of heaven».
Dessert. The Chocholate Fondant were stunning, well presented and tasteful!

Close to our table there were an elegant spiral staircase. I asked the waiter what was upstairs, and he took us there, showing us the coolest two-story wine cellar, with a huge selection of bottles a winelover can dream about. So, the food, the surroundings, location and the service of the staff were all of the highest standard. Just the extra service makes me never forget this restaurant. They also had WiFi that worked perfectly fine during the entire visit. We totally recommend this restaurant and will certainly dine here again whenever we go back to Dubai. Well done!
